Conor McGregor is one of the most controversial men who have ever stepped inside the Octagon. The former UFC two-division champion can be considered as Dana White’s “Tyson and Ali” and UFC’s golden goose and cash cow. He is easily the highest paid UFC fighter to grace the sport.
Conor last stepped inside the Octagon in the main event of UFC 229, where he was choked out by Khabib Nurmagomedov in the fourth round.
The bout ended in a wild brawl after Khabib leaped over the fence to deal with Conor’s sparring partner Dillon Danis, who previously insulted him at a previous occasion. Nurmagomedov’s teammates entered the cage to teach the Irishman a lesson. In the end, McGregor was able to slip through with a 6-month suspension and a $50,000 fine by NSAC.
But this isn’t the first time the UFC star got into some trouble!
Conor McGregor Struggles Outside the Octagon
Prior to his latest fight, Conor was seen attacking Khabib’s bus, smacking the bus with a ladder, shattering some glass and injuring some fighters.
McGregor was also accused of having sexually assaulted a UK single mother Terri Murray. Conor, who is married to his long time girlfriend Dee Devlin, denies any sort of relationship with Murray. Early this year Murray claimed that Conor might be the father of her child. She demands that McGregor does a paternity test.
In March 2019, Conor was arrested for snatching and smashing a fan’s phone. He was able to get out on bail but was sued by the fan a few days later.

Conor yet again got into more trouble the following month, assaulting a man at a Dublin Bar. Some sources say that it was due to the man mocking Conor for getting smashed by Khabib.
Conor McGregor Attacks an Old Man After a Whisky Debate
Conor sure had a good year with all his troubles outside the ring. And just when you thought he couldn’t sink any lower, Conor punches an old man in an Irish pub! It seems that Conor’s laundry list continues to grow even further.
The video from April 6th, 2019, filmed by TMZ sports, shows Conor McGregor punching a man to the face over the Proper No. 12 Whiskey dispute. It is rumored that the former UFC two-division king was buying a round of Proper 12 whiskey shots for all the patrons of a bar in Ireland.
But an old man refused Conor’s famous whiskey on two occasions, which irritated the Irish mixed martial artist, who exploded and punched him with a left hook to the face!
Luckily the old man was unphased. That must be the blood of the Irish! Either that or Conor’s losing his touch! See the video below.
Proper 12 Gets a Proper Removal
Following his latest heinous acts, the owners of the Irish Pub, The Salty Shamrock, has about had it with Conor McGregor. They have decided to remove all of Conor’s Proper 12 Whisky brand off their shelves.
The Salty Shamrock was extremely disappointed in McGregor’s latest actions and misrepresentation of their culture. They decided to teach him a lesson and pour out all Proper 12 merchandise and will no longer carry the brand.
This could potentially challenge other pubs to do the same thing! Bad move McGregor.
Due to the recent cowardly and appalling behavior of the so-called Irish #MMA fighter #ConorMcGregor, the Salty Shamrock Irish Pub will no longer carry his product nor associate its business with his name. We will discard his whiskey I challenge every Irish bar owner to do same pic.twitter.com/xVeJXQqzBg— IrelandsUnderworld®️ (@Ireunderworld) August 17, 2019
Conor certainly had his fair share of bad publicity over the year. And its to be suspected if you have reached the level of fame and popularity as McGregor has. But this one certainly looks pretty bad. It’s one thing to smash a bus to rile up your opponent before a fight, its another to punch an old man for refusing a drink!
Dana White commented on the incident, stating his actions were “pretty bad.”
“What’s it gonna cost Conor McGregor before he decides, ‘Alright, this isn’t worth it. The [bus] incident in New York cost him millions. Millions, he had to pay out. He had to pay the guy with the phone. What’s he gonna pay this guy that he hit in the bar? The list just goes on and on.”
Conor Mc Gregor’s latest actions has certainly left fans wondering where they stand when it comes to the former champ. The longer he stays away from the Octagon and into some trouble, it is rapidly decreasing his popularity. This incident might push Conor McGregor’s fans away for good. Get it together Conor!
